How Solander would handle your information.
This is a preview placeholder — the final terms will be settled with counsel before the venue opens. It is written to show the shape and intent of the real document, not to bind anyone. Nothing on this preview is a live service, and no real account, payment or shipment exists here.
Solander is a private preview, so there is no live privacy practice to describe yet. What follows is the shape and intent of the final notice — honest about what the venue is built to collect, and what, by design, it never holds.
What we collect
The intent is to collect as little as the venue needs to work: an email address for your account and alerts, a single free-text name you choose, an optional international-tolerant phone where shipping needs one, and the listing details you enter when you sell. Every field has a “prefer not to say” escape where it can.
Because settlement is direct between buyer and seller on PayPal Goods & Services, Solander does not hold your card details, your bank details, or a record of what you finally paid. We never store a final sale price.
The copy registry is pseudonymous
A copy’s history is kept under a pseudonymous handle, not your real name or address. Ownership of a valuable copy is a theft target, and the registry is designed around that: the trail of listings, condition snapshots and packing photos belongs to the copy, not publicly to you.
How your information is used
To run your account, show your listings, send the want-list alerts you ask for, and build the structured, condition-honesty reputation that lets a non-custodial venue work. We do not sell your information, and alerts are symmetric: the same one tap that turns an alert on turns it off.
Fonts, beacons and third parties
Typefaces are self-hosted, so loading a page does not call a third-party font CDN or leave a beacon with one. The intent is to keep third-party calls to the minimum the service needs and to name any that remain in the final notice.
Your controls
Account deletion is intended to be self-serve and live from the first day — not an email you have to send and wait on. You can edit your details, export what we hold about you, and adjust your alert preferences yourself. No destructive action is instant and irreversible without a confirm or an undo.
Questions and the final notice
This preview describes intent. The binding privacy notice will be reviewed by counsel for the jurisdictions the venue serves — a US-heavy audience with UK, Canadian and Australian members — and will replace this page before any copy is listed for sale.
